Dear Night on Fic Mountain Author...

Hi there! I am kissoffools, and I really love rare fandom fic exchanges. I'm really looking forward to this one!

I'm requesting fic from 4 different canons - I never know how to prompt for art, so I haven't requested it, though I do love it! I love all four of these fandoms and the characters/pairings I've requested, so please, take them and run with them! Go with whatever inspires you! I'm up for fluff, angst, smut, or anything else you can come up with, really. I really prefer canon-set stories and would really like fic that takes place in the world of the canon, rather than AUs or crossovers. (Also: I realize that in two fandoms I requested pairings, and in two I requested two characters. I do ship all four of the sets of characters I requested, so please, if you ship them, ship away!!)

If I've been unclear, please don't hesitate to get in touch with me anonymously and I can clear things up for you.

For the record, I have just a few dislikes: noncon/rape, and scat. I'm also not really into crossovers or non-canon character death. Avoid those things, and I'll be thrilled with whatever you come up with!

FULLER HOUSE
Matt Harmon, Steve Hale

I grew up with Full House, and while I loved it as a kid, rewatching it as an adult made me aware of just how cheesy it was! But I can't deny that I still love a lot of those characters, so I was intrigued to see what they'd do with Fuller House once it was announced. And overall, I enjoy it! Sure, sometimes it's a little heavy-handed, but that's pretty consistent with the original. It's great to see where the characters wound up after all these years, and how their lives have changed. And this version of the show brought me something very important: the dynamic of Matt and Steve!! I care very little about their competition for DJ's affections, and I care very much about their bromance and how they wound up totally getting along! Matt and Steve's dynamic is such that if this were a different show, those two would totally wind up together. And really, all I want is more of the two of them! (And by the way - I love DJ, so feel free to write her in wherever you'd like, if it works for you! The rest of the gang is totally welcome as well.)

PROMPTS:

+ Matt and Steve playing wingmen for each other! After DJ chooses herself at the end of Season 1, and effectively rejects both of them, the two guys become good friends by the start of Season 2. So give me some of that bonding! Do they go to bars and talk each other up to cute girls? Do they try each others' hobbies? Does Matt dog-sit for Comet Jr Jr? Does Steve offer to help Matt with an old foot injury? If you'd rather not ship them, I'd be all for gen of the two of them becoming total bffs. If you do ship them, you could take this and run with it!

+ After Matt and Steve's accidental kiss in Season 1, Matt claims that the kiss was bad because he wasn't even trying. Do they try again? Does Matt want to prove to Steve that he's not a bad kisser, after all?

+ At the beginning of Season 2, Matt and Steve both announce that they've found wonderful people to date. What if they announced that it was each other, just like Stephanie predicted? How would the whole Fuller House clan take the news? What would Season 2 have looked like if Matt and Steve had been dating?

IN THE HEIGHTS - MIRANDA
Relationship: Nina Rosario/Benny

Man oh man, In The Heights. I love this show SO MUCH. I saw it back in 2010, with very little knowledge about it at all, and found myself crying like ten minutes in. I love all of the characters, I love the music, I love the story - I think it's all just so wonderful and has so much heart. And Nina Rosario is literally one of my favourite musical theatre characters ever. I love that she's intelligent and hard-working, but that she struggles and doubts herself - she feels very real to me. And that's what I love about her relationship with Benny! That he helps her see all the good in her that she doesn't always see in herself! The two of them are kind of two sides to the same coin - he shows her that she's more than her flaws, and she shows him that he isn't defined by his. The way they interact and fall for each other is just so romantic to me. I love their dynamic and I'd absolutely love to see more of it! (And of course, I love the others as well - feel free to include Usnavi, Vanessa, Daniela, Carla, and/or whoever else you want!) Please no Hamilton crossovers or mentions.

PROMPTS:

+ What were Nina and Benny like when they were younger, before Nina went off to school? We know they knew each other. Did either of them have a crush on the other? What kind of interactions did they have as they were growing up?

+ Nina going back to school. What happens to their relationship? Do they try long distance? Does Benny go with her? I'd love to see them sharing a dorm room or a small apartment, with Nina going to classes and Benny finding a job he loves nearby. The idea of them finding home in each other, rather than in a neighbourhood.

+ Nina and Benny, twenty years on. Have they stayed together all this time? Did they split and then run into each other back in Washington Heights one hot summer evening? How have they changed and what is their dynamic like with the added twenty years of life experience?

JANE THE VIRGIN
Michael Cordero Jr, Jane Villanueva

Jane the Virgin is one of my favourite shows running right now, and I love Jane. I love her so so much! I love that she's flawed but that she tries to do the right thing, and that all of her problems are so human. I love her relationship with Xiomara and Alba, and the challenges she comes up against as she's learning how to be a mom. And her relationship with Rogelio is the greatest, of course! But oh, Jane and Michael. Jane and Michael. I love them so much, and I'm so heartbroken about his death and that we won't have any more stories of the two of them. So please, please, give me more Michael and Jane! I think he's so good for her - he knows her, and he works hard to do the right thing that will be good for her and Mateo. Their relationship always felt so real to me - they weren't perfect and they fought, but they worked things out and they were always stronger for it in the end. I just love the way they loved each other, you know? I just want more of that. (And like I said, I love literally everyone on that show, so include whoever you'd like! Just please no Rafael-pining-for-Jane. I love Raf and Jane's co-parenting and how they relate when he isn't all in love with her!)

PROMPTS:

+ What if we had the three year time skip, but Michael lived through it? What would things look like then? Would we still have Zen Rafael and the awesome parenting relationship he has with Jane? Would Rogelio and Xo have gotten back together? What would Mateo be like if he'd had Michael in his life all this time? What kinds of married-life problems would Jane and Michael be facing now? Would they have had another kid by this point?

+ More stories from Michael and Jane's dating past! Anything about the two of them before Rafael and Petra came into their lives. What problems did they have back then? What cute things happened? What was Michael's first dinner with the Villanueva women like?

+ Give Michael and Jane a baby - one of their own. Her pregnancy, him finding out he's going to be a dad, all of that. I'd love to see them going through that as a team.

LEGALLY BLONDE - HACH/O'KEEFE/BENJAMIN
Relationship: Elle Woods/Emmett Forrest

I don't know if I can explain just how much I love Legally Blonde: The Musical and the relationship between Elle and Emmett. I love the movie too, of course, but the musical is just so good! I love that the show has the same Elle we all fell in love with - resourceful, determined, intelligent, and so much more than she originally gave herself credit for. And I love that the show pumped up Emmett's part and gave us some of his backstory, too! That the two of them bond over coming from situations where people didn't take them seriously, and having to push themselves to prove others wrong. They are just so sweet together! And the little things throughout the show - their secret handshake, their banter - that show how their love is based on friendship and mutual respect are just so perfect. And the way Emmett fights to keep her around after Elle decides to go back to California, and how she takes him shopping to teach him something in return.... ugh, I just love it so much. I'm wildly in love with these two, and I need more!

PROMPTS:

+ What happens to these two during the rest of Elle's time at Harvard? The show skips forward three years during Find My Way, and by the time Elle proposes to Emmett at graduation, they've obviously been dating for awhile. What happens between Elle rejecting Warner's proposal and Elle proposing to Emmett? Do they hit any snags as they transition from friendship to being a couple? What are the different milestones in their relationship like?

+ Wedding planning! Elle and Emmett planning their wedding. Just... everything about that process is something I very much want to read.

+ Going back and seeing some of the show's events from Emmett's perspective would be great, too! Or just more little moments of the friendship between these two - watching them grow closer and fall in love without really realizing what's happening to them.
