tw_holidays letter 2013!
Hi there, writer!
First of all, I'm so excited! I love fic exchanges, and I love Teen Wolf, so I'm really stoked to be participating this year. :D I requested both Teen Wolf (TV) and Teen Wolf RPF, and would be thrilled to get a story in either! So if we matched on one, but you're feeling inspired by the other, go for it. (This letter wound up being really long. I'm sorry! I hope it's not too restrictive, I wanted to give you as much information/as many different ideas as possible!)
I'm totally on board with het and slash fic (and femslash, as well, but I didn't request any femme pairings), and gen centered around one particular character is awesome too! Any rating, from G up to E, is cool with me. Angst, fluff, humour, romance, and smut are all a-ok! And if you're so inclined, any Christmas or winter-themed fic would be lovely! I'm definitely someone who enjoys the season.
Just a couple general dislikes - rape/non-con/dub-con, mpreg, and watersports/scat/bloodplay are all something I'd rather not read about. I get pretty uncomfortable reading songfic (namely, stanzas of lyrics interspersed throughout the fic) and reading about crying men. They usually just make me laugh awkwardly, which I'm sure isn't the desired effect. And character bashing is no bueno, if you ask me! If you don't like a character, just don't include them, you know? :)
Also, I vastly prefer fic that's written in the third person - first person always feels strange to me. However, feel free to write in either the past or present tense! Whatever you're more comfortable with works for me.
Now I'm going to actually get to the sign-ups!

Teen Wolf (TV)
Characters: Scott McCall, Stiles Stilinski, Isaac Lahey, Allison Argent.
These four are my favourite characters on Teen Wolf, and I'd love to see fic centred around any of them. I like their strengths and their flaws that we see in canon, and I think a lot of great material can be drawn from them! Something that touches on any of their pasts and shows how they've grown into the person they are today would be lovely to read. (Although since the show's focused so much on Isaac's rough past, it'd be really cool to see the nicer parts of his younger years!)
Pairings: Scott/Stiles, Scott/Isaac, Scott/Derek, Derek/Isaac, Allison/Isaac, Scott/Stiles/Allison, Scott/Isaac/Allison.
These are my favourite Teen Wolf pairings! As you can see, they touch on the four I listed above, plus some Derek - so seriously, thank you for offering to write one or two of them! I'm really excited. :D I'm a multi-shipper, so fear not, writer, you can't pick a wrong pairing of the bunch. I'd enjoy any of these pairings immensely. I like the idea of characters needing each other, as I mentioned in my sign-up - the idea that one person provides something that the other can't get anywhere else, and vice versa. Emotionally or sexually, it's your call! I love a slow build to a relationship, as well. And if you'd rather take one of these pairings and just focus on the friendship behind them, as opposed to something romantic, that's totally cool with me. I'm a big believer in friendship bonds being just as important as romantic ones.
In case you decide to go the porn route - which you're more than welcome to do! - I should tell you that I'm cool with A/B/O, mating/heat, and knotting. I know it comes up a lot in Teen Wolf fic, so I figured I'd mention it! It's by no means a requirement in my smut fic, but if you want to include it, it's all good with me.
One other thing to note - I'm a big fan of the Teen Wolf universe, so keeping stories relatively canon compliant would be lovely. If you do want to go with an AU (for example, I mention below in my Teen Wolf RPF section that I'm in love with the idea of a bartender/restaurant AU, should that strike your fancy!), that's cool with me - but if you could keep the werewolf characters as werewolves, that'd be awesome. Who doesn't love the idea of a werewolf bartender, right? :D

The tags that I chose for my requests are all things that I love - feel free to use one of them or as many as you like! (Or not, if none of them are your cup of tea.) "Fake/Pretend Relationship" (or, as I like to call it, pretend-to-be-a-couple fic) is awesome when sex and/or real feelings come out of it! And as for "Suit Porn", that can be actual porn, or just hot boys wearing suits. I am on board with either. :D
I've also become enamoured with the idea of apocalypse!fic lately? Something like, the end is near, and all these two need in their final days is each other. An AU loosely based on the movie "Seeking A Friend For The End Of The World" (which is NOT a comedy, don't let trailers tell you otherwise!), or something inspired by Ingrid Michaelson's End Of The World would be incredible.
A couple Teen Wolf-specific dislikes - Stiles/Derek (I know, I'm sorry!), Peter Hale in general (the less of him, the better), the "I'm a monster!!!!" trope that's employed by so many supernatural shows, mentions of fandom in-jokes (sour wolf! pack mom Stiles!), and anyone being turned into a mythical creature if they aren't already one in canon. Steer away from those, and you're going to be golden!

Characters: Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien, Daniel Sharman, Tyler Hoechlin.
I don't really have a lot to say here, except that these four are my favourites - I think they all have delightful personalities, and I really love how much they all adore each other. Nothing makes me happier than a cast that actually gets along! You're more than welcome to include any of the other cast members that I didn't mention here - "kids" and adults alike. These are just the four I like the best, and if you were to write RPF for me, I'd prefer it to be from one of their perspectives.
Pairings: Dylan O'Brien/Tyler Posey, Dylan O'Brien/Daniel Sharman, Tyler Posey/Daniel Sharman
Any combination of these three is AMAZING. I also really, really love the idea of Tyler Hoechlin/Daniel Sharman and Tyler Hoechlin/Tyler Posey, but AO3 wouldn't let me request them specifically. :( If you have ideas for them, or if those pairings are more your thing, feel free to write them! Dylan and Posey are obviously best buddies, and at SDCC this year I noticed that Dylan and Daniel are way closer than I previously thought they were. And Posey and Daniel keep picking each other out in group interviews, which I love. Basically, everyone loves everyone, and I dig that.
Like I mentioned in my signup, AUs are probably my favourite thing when it comes to RPF! I'm in love with the idea of a bartender/restaurant AU - you could get a ton of cast members and pairings in there, and it would be really fun to see their dynamics in a behind-the-scenes restaurant setting. Not your thing? Any other type of AU! Bring your own real-life expertise into it and work out an AU based on that. Write what you know, but throw the Teen Wolf cast members in there - it'll come across as genuine, and I know I'll love it.
Not down with writing an AU? Like my signup says, any type of cast group shenanigans would be amazing. All of them drinking together, partying together, road tripping together... just, yes please. If you're feeling the idea of a first times fic, or two of the cast members hooking up and keeping things a secret from the others, then go for it! If everyone loves each other and there's some fun in there, that's all I could possibly want from a Teen Wolf RPF fic.

A couple Teen Wolf RPF-specific dislikes - Dylan O'Brien/Tyler Hoechlin (I'm sorry! They're really sweet and I love that they're buddies, but so much of the Hobrien fic I've seen reads like thinly-veiled Sterek fic - so it's just easier for me to avoid requesting the pairing altogether.), actors interacting with fandom too much, tinhatting/theorizing about the actors actually being together IRL, bashing certain actors/their significant others, and infidelity (ie, don't have Tyler Posey cheat on Seana so that he can get together with Daniel Sharman. Just kind of pretend Seana/other girlfriends never existed!). Anything else is a total go for me, so have fun with it!
